Profiled sheet for roofs and fences
Profiled sheet is classified by purpose, and the letter in the grade says which. S or PS is a wall sheet with a low rib, used for fences, façades and gates. NS is load-bearing and wall at once. N or PK is the roofing grade: a tall rib with an extra stiffener that carries snow load. The number after the letters is the rib height in millimetres.
Roofs take grades with a rib of 20 mm and above, because a low rib on a slope cannot shed water fast enough. Fences are the opposite: a tall rib only adds wind load and cost. Metal thickness is a separate parameter: 0.45 mm holds its shape on a fence, while roofs with a wide purlin spacing take thicker sheet.

Which sheet suits a roof?

How many sheets for a fence?
Divide the fence length by the effective sheet width, which is less than the full width by the overlap. We will work this out with you for the chosen grade.
